Clermont County Election Results Note Computer System

Angie's counting process and Datavote equipment controlled by Board of Elections Director John Watson. A hard copy printout shows totals: Hogan 18,856 and Croswell 10,888, with overall turnout 26,348 at 58 percent of 45,393 registered voters across 140 precincts. Rymer, 54, reelected Democrat James Tigik Seber received a yes vote from 48.1 percent.

County election results reveal mixed party wins across offices

County Commissioner Croswell and Hogan are listed with party labels. Other results include County Auditor Rymer (R), Probate judge candidates, two Court Judge seats Michael L. Voris and W. Kenneth Zuk, and unexpired term contenders Richard F. Celeste and Michael J. Dorrian. State races show Barron Niehaus (D) and Robert A. Taft II (R) in the 65th District with Clermont voting areas. Jeffrey C. Merritt (R) is noted for the 87th District.

Ohio township and school district tax levies pass and fail

Election returns show Goshen and Warren County districts approving and rejecting several levies. Voters supported 0.8 mill township space protection, 0.3 mill fire protection and road work additions, while a 5.9 mill current expenses levy failed. Robert Scha r led in a local race with 10,940 votes. E. Robert Scha r received 14,791 by 16,141 No's to 6,656 yeas. U.S. Rep. race results favor incumbent William J. Harsha over Ted Strickland. Clermont voters backed incumbent Robert A Taft I by a wide margin.

Ford breaks ground for office building project at plant

Warm sunny weather accompanied the work as Ford broke ground for an office building at the SR 32 plant. Concrete flooring neared completion with 70,000 cubic yards poured, nearly all of the roof installed, and pre cast walls rising. Ford resident engineer Tony Gogarts and other officials oversaw the progress.
