The lovers of fox hunting have four days of pleasure from November 5 to 8 with derbies on Lou Buerkle’s farm near Batavia and in Elk Lick hills. The Batavia Armory hosts a Dog Beach Show Thursday night with prizes and a dance. Church societies serve cats on grounds Wednesday through Friday and Beagle Hound trials run each day. Wakefield Williams presided in place of L D Miller. hunts start at sunrise and fire safety is urged for smokers.

John W. McTamany, formerly of Clermont, died at his daughter’s home on North Main Street Georgetown Ohio near six on Wednesday morning after a week of illness from pneumonia with toxine poisoning. He was 65 or 66 and leaves his wife and three daughters Teresa Beatrice Campbell and Mary Donohoe. Funeral services were Friday at 2 pm conducted by Rev Martin of the Presbyterian Church.
