Cleve Gillman Slain In The James Sarver Home
Cleve Gillman a 48 year old handyman was slain Friday night in the James Sarver home. Mrs Cynthia Sarver 35 is jailed in Clermont county on a first degree murder charge after firing a shot believed to kill Gillman. An inquest found Gillman died minutes after the shot from a center chest wound and a note suggested a motive tied to keeping silent about a meeting. James Sarver maintains his wife’s innocence.

After 17 weeks of training 31 men in Clermont County received identification cards stickers and armbands becoming full auxiliary patrolmen. In emergencies citizens should contact the nearest auxiliary patrolman and report accidents fires or similar incidents. Dr. P. M. Offutt Dies Suddenly at Home
Dr. P. M. Offutt, retired Cincinnati dentist and longtime Clermont County resident, died at his home Monday night. He served as president of the Clermont Court board and was widely known in southern Ohio. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Katherine Offutt.
