Car Thieves Sought After Auto Stolen From Milford
Sheriff Dericks and Deputy Bisantz pursue two men who stole a car from Daly's Tavern near Williams Corner on May 17. A companion woman, Mary Moody, 22, was arrested. Katherine Royal, 19, is jailed in Brookville, Kentucky, as authorities search for the suspects.

Max Bauer of Mt. Carmel died Wednesday May 23 at Deaconess Hospital after a stroke. He was 79 and survived by his wife. He directed Mt. Carmel Building and Loan Company and was a longtime member of the Social Club and IOOF.

Felicity Veteran Wounds Self in Automobile Incident
Felicity, Ohio witnessed a 27 year old World War II veteran named Marion Gregory wound himself in the chest with a pistol while seated in a car. Despondent for months, he was found by police chief William Riatt and rushed to Cincinnati Hospital by Gwaltney ambulance.

Road adds to county system and farm inventory moves
Aicholtz Road will be added to the county road system after a commissioners meeting at the courthouse on Monday May 22. A petition to establish a road 700 feet south of Manila Road and 1 000 feet to the Summer property was approved. Earle B Kincaid was authorized to inventory equipment feed and livestock at the Owensville Experiment Farm and itemize farm belongings.

Heart Attack Causes Milford Man Death
John Otto Seibert a 73 year old Milford resident died of a heart attack. He was found by his brother near a tobacco patch on Galleyhill Road. Funeral services are incomplete at Craver Funeral Home Milford. He is survived by three brothers Lawrence Charlie and Frank. Two local fire calls were answered by Milford Fire Department under Chief Paul E Bosch. A chicken house on Cook Road burned and a house on Wade Road was destroyed with outbuildings saved.

Augustus F. Kayser longtime Moscow school board member and former State Bank cashier died recently. Services were held Saturday at T. P. White funeral home Mt. Washington with burial in Moscow Cemetery. He served 61 years on the Moscow board and 15 years on the Clermont County School Board.

Brooder House Hit by Lightning on Bethel Farm
A lightning strike during a May thunderstorm destroyed a brooder house on George Young’s Bethel farm. The building stored furniture belonging to Mrs. Jessie Tarvin, Young’s daughter, and all contents were burned per Fire Chief Virgil Camery.
