Batavia Public Schools Superintendent Charles A. Nau reported at the May 9 board meeting on creating a four county educational center. Clermont Brown Adams Highland would participate with services for local schools. Nav cited a U S Court of Appeals ruling allowing girls to compete with boys in noncontact sports, with Ohio likely adopting the rule. The board adopted a 1973 74 student dress code with minor changes and progress on the Batavia Plan for primary grades next year. Senior class names were presented as meeting graduation requirements and the high school commencement is set for Sunday June 3 on school grounds. The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday June 13 in the high school conference room.

Medicare eligibility expands for social security beneficiaries
