Robbery at Batavia Service Station Nets $1000

A gunpoint robbery at Thornton Service Station 270 W Main Batavia yielded 1000 dollars in cash. Attendant Robert Sumler 31 said a single assailant robbed him at 10 45 pm. Police reported Sumler intoxicated and a breath test inconclusive. Station manager Roger Grubbs had left work 15 minutes earlier.

Youth Services Bureau Receives $60,000 Federal Grant
