Nina Darlene Watson of New Richmond is one of 50 recipients of scholarships to Morehead State University awarded annually by the MSU Alumni Association. She is valedictorian of the New Richmond High School Class of 1973 and has been active in NHS, Spanish National Honor Society, Future Teachers of America, and the yearbook staff. A public luncheon will be served Sunday May 27 from 11 am to 2 pm at the Mt. Zion Annex Building, sponsored by the Women’s Society of Mt. Zion St. Paul United Church of Christ. The Mt. Zion Christian Church Cemetery Association will hold its annual board meeting at Mt. Zion Church on Monday May 28 at 2 pm.

State Sends May Funds For Schools In Clermont County
Clermont County auditor’s office received 770603.44 dollars in May from the Ohio State School Foundation. The auditor will issue individual checks to nine local and exempted village districts for their share of the subsidy. Nationwide, May school subsidies totaled 56249020.11 dollars across 387 local districts 180 city districts 49 exempted villages and related state entities.
