Realtors Buy Flagpole for Clermont County Fairgrounds
The Clermont County Division of the Clermont Warren County Board of Realtors funded a flagpole at the Clermont County Fairgrounds to fly the American flag on occasion. Fair officials will install it, with a dedication on opening day including the Realtors, fair board, county commissioners, and the National Guard. The presentation featured L. G. March of Dimes Drive Sees 50 Percent Rise in 1962 Funds
Clermont Countians reported the 1962 March of Dimes fund campaign raised 5601.02 dollars, a 50 percent increase. Rev. D. G. Lach led the drive. expenses were 711.76 dollars with 1222.32 sent to medical research and 1833.47 retained locally after a like remittance to national HQ.

Registration for West Clermont residents shows junior high courses at 6 dollars per course while senior high courses cost twelve hundred for six day schedules. Non district students pay higher rates and classes run June 11 to July 21 with limited weekly meeting days. County to Send Prisoners to Cincinnati Workhouse
Clermont County commissioners approved sending county prisoners to Cincinnati workhouse at two dollars and fifty cents per day to deter repeat offenses by enforcing work requirements. Judge Rosenhoffer presided over Florence Nounlio of Tealtown Road case for welfare misrepresentation, with penalties up to $1000 fine or one year in the workhouse or both.

Clermont County completes first county wide tuberculin testing program
The Clermont County Tuberculosis and Health Association led a county wide effort with private doctors and the Clermont County Medical Society backing a dramatic TB testing drive. The plan included endorsement by health boards, a pilot at New Richmond School, Heaf and Mantoux tests, and a fall schedule for testing in schools.

Harry R. Moore, 54, longtime educator and administrator at Princeton City schools, will become Clermont County schools superintendent effective August 1. Miss Nellie Coleman, Amelia elementary School teacher, ends 49 years in the profession with 37 years at Amelia. Principal Stanley Anstaett, celebrating 40 years in teaching and 31 as principal, led honors at the May PTA meeting. Robert Harvey 17 of 515 Clough Pike a student at Amelia junior high drowned Friday afternoon while swimming with peers near Withamsville school. Life Squad used six oxygen tanks but could not revive him. Funeral services set for 2 p.m. today May 33 at Powers Nurse Funeral Home Amelia with interment at Green Mound Cemetery New Richmond. He was the son of John and Estella Harvey and brother of Violet Gerbert Allen and Michael Harvey.
