Fire originated in a brooder house on Breskenridge Pike near Pt Isabel destroying the two story frame home and brooder house with 150 to 200 chicks. Clarence Barger and wife were milking when neighbors aided firefighters saving the barn. six of eight Bargers children escaped as flames forced them out.
