New Richmond captured first place with fifty two and a half points at the county field and track meet held at the Fair Grounds on Saturday. Owensville took second, Milford third, Felicity fourth, Bata via fifth, and Bethel sixth as officials from Cincinnati oversaw events. The top performers included Rauscher Milford Parker Bethel and the Owensville girls, with Milford earning the Maile relay and the county baseball cup. The M E Sunday school at Owensville marks Children’s Week with sermons, tests, and a planned Story Hour and addresses through Friday night.

Shot By Mistake In Jail Break Pursuit
Arthur Hall of Nicholsville was shot last Wednesday night when ordered to halt by pursuing officers after Elmer Hargett who broke jail in 1923. Hall, hit by a stray shot, is recovering with no serious injuries. Sheriff Croswell was informed Hargett was seen near New Richmond and had left for Nicholeville. Officers assembled at the Hargett home, Hall refused to stop, and the shooting occurred. The sheriff sent Hall to the hospital for care. The incident is regretted as a mistake.

Burglar Confesses to New Richmond Store Robbery
Robert Griffith of Ohio township confessed to robbing Thos Castlen's store at New Richmond last Wednesday night. He was arrested in Cincinnati Monday, given a hearing before Mayor Erdman, bound over to the grand jury, and jailed in default of bail after being sent to Sheriff Croswell for custody. He had recently escaped from the workhouse.

Deaths from Peritonitis Claim 14 Year Old Boy
Irvin Seyler son of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Seyler died Saturday morning after a burst appendix and peritonitis following an attempted appendicitis operation in Cincinnati. Attorney General C. C. Crabbe clarifies auto and gasoline tax rules. Beginning August 1, 1925 the County Auditor issues license tags only if the car was listed for tax and returned for general tax. Annual Reunion Celebrates Amelia M E Class No 10
The Ladies Bible Class of Amelia M E held its annual reunion and 24th anniversary at I C O F Hall. Irvin Joseph Seyler son of Mr and Mrs Albert Seyler born November 8 1910 in Batavia Clermont county Ohio grew up in a Christian home attended United Brethren in Christ church and Sunday school. He was gentle cheerful and studious and publicly professed faith during a revival. He fell ill May 4 underwent surgery in Cincinnati and died May 9 after offering prayers for his parents and family.
