Suspect Arrested in Utopia Murder by Sheriff Croswell
Sheriff Fred Croswell arrested Edward O. Warren of Atlanta Georgia in Cincinnati on Monday for the Utopia murder. Warren was jailed in Batavia for identification and taken to Utopia Tuesday to view the case with local residents. J H Hines of Utopia identifies him as the man seen with the victim the prior Saturday night. The sheriff continues to pursue verification and further developments.

New U B Church Bids Sought By May Fourteenth
Blueprints and specifications are at present with several contractors who are calculating bids due by Friday May 14 at 4 p m. The architect will meet the trustee board that day and bids opened. The board may reject any or all bids. Upon award the old church will be disposed of and construction begun. Patrick O Connor aged 62 of Milford was electrocuted last Thursday while two men operated a gasoline shovel on a highway project near Perintown. The metal frame touched a Kroger line, killing him instantly. He leaves a widow and four sons. burial set for Saturday.

The captured German cannon awarded to Clermont county will be dedicated at the Court House yard in Batavia on Saturday May 29 at 1 p.m. Standard Time. Adjutant General Henderson of Columbus will preside. A day of celebration is planned with a ball game athletic events a band concert and a program in the evening. Multiple entertainment features will be offered from noon onward. This celebration is separate from Memorial Day services on Monday May 31 in Batavia.
