Death of a Pioneer Lady Nancy Simmons Buchanan
Nancy Simmons Buchanan widow of Samuel Buchanan died at her daughter Mrs. J R Wiley home in Moscow on Monday April 30 of lung trouble aged 77. A Moscow pioneer she lived there all her life and was much respected. She mothered eleven children four sons and one daughter survive. Funeral services were held at the Wiley residence on Thursday May 8 conducted by Revs C W Briggs and James E Abrams. Remains laid to rest in the old cemetery near her former Calvary home.
