Clermont children services releases 1985 annual report

Clermont County Children’s Services reports 1200 complaints in 1985 about abused or neglected children, with 368 substantiated after investigation. Intake closed 193 cases, 165 moved to ongoing protection. 44 children stayed home with homemaker help, 21 returned home, and 21 more kept at home via protective day care. Emergency placements included 20 under 12 and 45 teens. 169 children in 45 licensed foster homes, 22 received residential treatment, with reunification as primary goal and 15 adoptions plus eight permanent custody.
