Bids Opened For Stonelick Creek Bridge Project
Bids will be opened in Columbus on May 11 for paving and grading of approaches and construction of a steel truss bridge with wood floor over Stonelick Creek in Stonelick Township. The bridge will be moved from another site. Estimated cost is 29300 dollars and completion by November 30, 1948.

Orpheus Club to Sing in Batavia for Local Fund

Ohio National Guard’s Company B in Batavia received high praise from Lt. Cols Hempstead and Nichols after a federal inspection last Friday. They commended 90 guardsmen for spirit, aggressiveness, and hard work, noting it as one of Ohio’s leading units. Camp Atterbury, Ind., summer camp awaits the unit in August, with 48 more soldiers needed to meet strength.

In First Presbyterian Church Georgetown bride Miss Eloise Quinlan daughter of Edgar Quinlan and groom John W Lytle Jr son of Mrs Lytle Sr and the late Mr Lytle Williamsburg were married May 1 at 10 30 with Rev Theo DeVries officiating Cathedral tapers and white spirea provided a formal setting.
