James Crosson Dies After Long Public Service in Wayne

Sheriff Keen questioned witnesses in Hamilton county about the Bethel case. Taylor, seen by locals, was described as well dressed with money, or in a red and white shirt and worn hat, fitting clothes found in the shanty. The findings suggest he left Bethel for Cincinnati to buy supplies and later returned, with only a few shillings due. Cincinnati police have his description and will pursue if alive. Ohio veterans living total 106,375. wartime enlistment reached about 810,654. Clermont 755, Adams 1,041, Brown 1,08, Butler 1,071, Clinton 984, Green 1,314, Highland 1,056, Pike 641, Warren 1,008. Two-thirds of enlistees are absent or not accounted for, many relocated or dead.
