Six Batavia High School graduates delivered essays on a flowered stage with Cincinnati Grand Orchestra music. Judge Swing presented diplomas, John Groves gave the valedictory, and the Michigan University scholarship funded the top student. The Moscow church program by the lower school featured drills music and recitations praised for discipline and training under Mrs Dell Nichols. Mt Carmel under Prof Simmerman offered a musical literary afternoon with about thirty participants and noted graduates Artemas Day and Cora M Johnson. The New Richmond High School held its tenth annual commencement at Opera Hall with Kasay Paddle your Own Canoe and essays by Jennie Curry Laura Davis and others backed by Michael's orchestra.

Four Fires Hit Afton Farm in Four Years
