The Second Annual Commencement of ayiaire Bas School at the Presbyterian church on April 28 featured Miss Isa Ashton salutatory and Miss Anna McNutt valedictory. Charles Ashton, Miss Minnie Garner, Miss Rosa Hageman and David Heath delivered essays. Judge James B. Swing gave the annual address. Dr I Redrow presented diplomas. Music by a 25 voice choir and soloists enhanced the program.

Sudden Lightning Kills Wilbur Mulloy in Field
A heavy thunderstorm struck in the county last Thursday afternoon as Wilbur H Mulloy and two others worked in a field between Mt Carmel and Williamsville. Mulloy was struck by lightning. his life could not be saved. Prickett and Spaldon survived with minor injuries. Mulloy, 20s, nephew of Martin Mulloy of Williamsville, had relatives in Boston Station Kentucky. Funeral attendance was planned Friday afternoon.
