Autopsy Finds Death Due to Natural Causes

A Hamilton County autopsy reports Arthur Lukemier aged 78 died of natural causes. He was found in his Afton home after neighbor Marjorie Raper reported a missing person and an open rear door. Services were held at Moore funeral home Batavia with burial in Williamsburg. He is survived by daughter Emma Ingram and brother Ora.

Couple Injured in Two Car Crash at Route 132 Intersection

J. R. Pierson aged 66 and his wife Laura 46 of Cincinnati sustained serious injuries after a Sunday collision at Routes 132 and 749. Pierson had severe head injuries and possible internal damage while Mrs. Pierson suffered chest head face injuries and a back injury. Gerald Burns 20 of Amelia drove the other car with minor injuries. Williamsville Life Squad transported the injured to Cincinnati General Hospital.

County Rejects Annexation Plea

Clermont County Commissioners dismissed a petition by 189 residents to annex 290 acres to Milford due to failure to post notice in a conspicuous place. A refiling and July hearing could follow. Milford council considered condemning Thornton property to connect Main and Water streets. Damaged town hall steam system caused damage by an overheated heater.

Batavia Council Endorses Community Meeting May 28

Batavia Village Council backed the Batavia Improvement Council and urged citizens to join a May 28 meeting at 8 p.m. in Fellowship Hall, Presbyterian Church. Man Found Guilty On Robbery Count

Clermont County jury returned a verdict of guilty against Anthony P. Pedrow 41 of Cincinnati on armed robbery of the Frontier Tavern near New Richmond January 6. His companion Jerry C. Tretola 29 also of Cincinnati was convicted on the same charge last February. The penalty for armed robbery is 10 to 25 years in the Ohio Penitentiary. Sentencing will follow a ten day defense motion window before Judge Harry Britton.
