About 800 visitors attended the Odd Fellows anniversary at Batavia with a noon dinner for 350 served by local lodge wives and the Daughters of Rebekah. Officers for next year were elected Dr J J Holden of Williamsburg chairman and Joseph Irwin of Williamsburg secretary. Died at the Plow Near Greenberry Church
Seth Hutchinson aged about 23 died last Thursday while plowing with his family in the field near Greenberry Church. The coroner ruled the cause of death as an arterial disease. Seth was well regarded, and was a nephew of Seth Hutchinson of Owensville.

Twin colts born to mare on Jamestown pike draw attention

Fourth Victim at Williamsburg Overhead Bridge Fatality
An extra railroad worker Ed Cowdrey died after being struck by a heavy iron girder on the overhead bridge east of Williamsburg while returning to his post aboard a N. and W. freight train. He was 30, leaving a wife and child in Sardinia. The body was moved without the county coroner's consent, risking a lawsuit. This marks the fourth death at this site in ten years as signals failed to warn engineers.
