Clermont County approves higher water and sewer charges

County commissioners approved rate hikes for Clermont County water and sewer users raising annual costs by about 34 dollars for a typical single family residence. Sewer up 50 cents per 1000 gallons to 2.35, water up 22 cents per 1000 gallons, with minimum increases of 24 dollars for sewer and 10.56 dollars for water annually. Beckers cited higher debt service for Nine Mile project and Waterworks improvements, plus increased maintenance costs and anticipated bond issues.
