The Farm Woman's Club Sunshine Club held its first guest day at Mrs. Thos. Honaker's near Williamsburg. Attendance rose from thirteen to seventeen, led by Mrs. Ida Daugherty. The program featured solos, readings, a talk on training daughters, current events, and refreshments served by the hostess and her daughter. Will Foster, a young Black man from the Afton neighborhood, was riding in his auto last Monday night in Williamsburg when the bed broke from the front axle causing a somersault. The vehicle bore damage to the bed and seats but the engine kept running. The car had been sold at Beylers' sale.

Fishermen Clash With Wardens In Fatal Run In Near Plainville
Last Saturday night near Plainville a shooting affray occurred when game wardens Kurtz and Ferris with four deputies confronted three East End Cincinnati fishermen James L. Liming Chas Favor and Ed Kleinfelter. A pistol battle followed with one fisherman killed and another wounded as 45 shots rang out. a barrel of fish and a trammel net were seized. The officers suffered minor injuries.

Clean-Up Campaign Planned for Batavia April 3
Batavia prepares for a town wide clean up starting Saturday April 3 and continuing through the following week.
