Corp Robert Rein, stationed in Newfoundland, spent a short furlough with his father Joseph Rein. Raymond Weaver and daughter of Lebanon visited Mr and Mrs Perry Groves. John Craver and daughter visited Mrs Lloyd Harlow of Bethel.
Glen Este residents report social calls Sunday afternoon with Allan K Smythe and H B Smythe hosts. Charles Derrick Louis Huber family from Newport Ky visited Peter J Patterson. Joe Dolt moved back to Glen Este into Smythe property. Bob Patterson Silverton and Kifer Deer Park joined George Patterson and family Sunday. Suter family and daughter from Cherry Grove also called on George Patterson Sunday evening.
Williamsburg High stages the new comedy Pigtails on Friday March 31 at 8 00 p m in the school auditorium. An early Friday crash on the A. and P. Highway near New Richmond killed Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schenz, their daughter Gloria Mae, and Mrs. Catherine Schenz. Mrs. Foster suffered injuries. John Martin of Charleston, Va., was charged with reckless driving and fined $25. Funeral services followed for the Schenz family members.
Mrs. Harry Patchell was pleasantly entertained at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Patchell Saturday evening when a number of invited relatives and friends came in to remind her of her birthday.
