Almost 2000 Clermont County youths ages 9 to 19 will participate in Clermont County 4-H Week from March 25 to 31. The event, titled 4-H Freedom to Be, invites members to share photos and stories inside The Courier.
Two hearings on the proposed one half percent sales tax for Clermont County are scheduled for Thursday April 19 and Thursday April 26 at 7 p.m. in Batavia at the Heritage Building third floor 77 Riverside Drive. The tax could raise 600000 to 1000000 annually for the county for a new detention facility and other capital improvements per commissioners plans.
Bethel The U S Grant Joint Vocational School announces an open house for parents and students on Thursday March 29. The Career Center will be open from 7 to 9 p m with flexible arrival and departure for visitors.
The New Richmond Middle School Vocal Music Department presents A Salute to Broadway on March 30 and 31 in the high school theatre. The East Fork Players present Godspell at Clermont College Auditorium in Batavia. Clermont County Commissioners on Monday authorized spending 26 000 for the county’s share in funding an air pollution control agency under the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1977. The four county area including Clermont Hamilton Warren and Butler collaborates through OKI Regional Council of Governments to fund air monitoring and related work.
