An old mill dam in the East Fork above Batavia, supplying water power for years, has partly given way after an ice gorge carved out a portion, diverting much water downstream. The structure is at least a century old.

Two Cincinnatians Fined for Intoxication in Batavia Area
Ollie McGuire and Boone Thompson alias Been Thompson and Dan Thompson, all from the Fairfax subdivision in Cincinnati, were arrested at 3:30 a.m. Saturday on Route 74 near Batavia. They were fined $50 each plus costs by Justice J. M. Wiseman, who suspended half the fines.

S S Bagby attorney and former Clermont County teacher died at Christ Hospital after an operation. He taught 30 years in Batavia and Loveland, served as county school examiner eight years, and leaves a widow four children and several relatives. Funeral was held in Felicity.

Bethel CCC Camp to Close April 15
Bethel CCC Camp will shut down April 15 as part of a government retrenchment cutting corps strength to 300000 by April 1. About a dozen camps in the Ft. Thomas Military District covering southwestern Ohio and Kentucky are expected to feel the order. The Bethel camp opened in December 1933 and enrollees and officials likely will transfer to other surviving camps.

County Auditor Blythe Jones announced there is no extension for personal property tax filings beyond March 31 1935. All personal returns including tangible and intangible must be filed or postmarked by March 31 to avoid penalties. Six Youth Projects Begin in Clermont County
The National Youth Administration launches six work sites in Clermont County with 33 youths employed at Batavia Amelia Felicity Moscow Williamsburg and Bethel high schools. Youths 16 to 25 from relief families work 46 hours monthly at 17 dollars, in playground leveling and landscaping under supervision of Charles H.
