Collision on Backbone Hill Injures Four
A. J. Hartman and family of Chillicothe along with Ernest Whedder and his wife of Norwood were in a Sunday crash on Backbone Hill below Owensville. Both autos were wrecked. Miss Hartman suffered facial bruising, Mr Whedder fractured neck vertebrae and his wife sustained left side rib fractures. Dr Leever treated the Norwood party and took them home. Dr Mitchell cared for the others.

Fireman Fatally Struck on Freight Near Loveland
Tom Foster, 88, of Parkersburg West Virginia a fireman on the first Loveland passenger train was killed Monday morning when a through freight ran him down severing his head and one leg. Remains were taken to the Taft funeral home for shipment home for burial.
