Second Degree Murder Verdict in McGehean Case
In Clermont County Common Pleas Court the trial of John McGehean of Marathon ended with a verdict of second degree murder in the death of Eddie Gansman of Norwood. Prominent Woman Dies in Accidental Chloroform Death
Mrs. Maude Pindell Taylor of Marathon aged 40 died at home Sunday morning after her husband applied a small amount of chloroform on a handkerchief for her to inhale. Coroner S. M. White ruled it accidental death. She was renowned in Ohio and Kentucky for horse riding and driving, with multiple first prizes. Survived by husband, parents and one sister. Body prepared at Moore Funeral Home Batavia. Funeral Tuesday.

Locust Corner Grange met March 16 at the school auditorium with good attendance. Three membership applications were elected. J R Carlisle H McCullum and Mrs Imo Hutson performed violin pieces. Dr Scorse of Amelia gave a lecture kickoff to a lecture series. Mrs Jane White presented an Irish reading. Next meeting April 5 will present first and second degrees to three candidates.
