Commissioners hire ex prosecutor to handle sewer district cases

Batavia Council recently approved an Urban Development Action Grant to help finance the Ashbrook Building on the Clermont Hotel site. The grant cannot proceed due to insufficient backing at this time. The Ashbrook project will be revisited for opportunity, with the Planning Commission continuing to monitor and contact.

Brown found guilty again for murder of his father
Bradley Brown of Carmel was convicted in Clermont County Common Pleas Court for the 1980 shooting death of his father Russell Brown at 620 Cincinnati Batavia Pike. Visiting Judge Thomas Dowd sentenced him to an indeterminate term after a prior insanity plea and a retrial prompted by new mental state evidence.
