Chiropractors Face Hearing Amid Bias Claims in Clermont County

Attorney Jack Crenshaw of the International Chiropractors Association met with Clermont County chiropractors arrested for practicing without licenses. Five chiropractors Duke Galloway Milton Trump Kenneth Kehrt Vernon Kline and T P Stotler were set for hearings, with affidavits alleging bias by Justice of the Peace Homer Ernst.

Fire saved by quick bucket brigade from telephone crew

Six Cincinnati and Suburban Bell Telephone men foiled a major blaze at J H Sheriff’s two story home on Rumpke Road near Batavia. While rebuilding poles, the crew formed a bucket brigade from a well after smoke and flames reached the attic. Williamsville Fire Department arrived promptly but the fire was contained.

Child Injured After Fall From Car in Amelia

Four year old Carol Ann Losey daughter of Mr and Mrs J G Losey Route 1 Amelia suffered head cuts and a left shoulder injury when she fell from the family car at Glen Este Saturday. Dr F B Skeen Batavia treated the injuries.

GOP Begins Campaign in Clermont County with Turkey Dinner

The Clermont County GOP kicked off its May primary campaign with a turkey dinner at the DX Ranch for 125 attendees. C William O'Neill Ohio Attorney General spoke as part of a program by the Clermont Men’s and Women’s GOP Clubs. Judge Harry Britton was master of ceremonies introducing candidates for Congress, State Representative, Commissioner, Auditor, and Prosecutor, plus a resolution to insert “under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance. Charles W. Wright announced his retirement from the men’s club on his birthday, greeted by the group.

Baby Dies In Chair Mishap

Gary Angie Seal age 2 fatally injured Friday after a fall from a high chair at his Bethel home. Investigation by Dr. F. S. Skeen cites a broken neck. Parents Mr. and Mrs. James Seal, sibling, and local officials responded. Burial in Bethel Tate Cemetery.

Site Chosen for New Clermont County High School

A 124 acre site near Loveland owned by Stanley Snider was selected to house the new Clermont County North eastern School District high school. The land will cost $100 per acre for a project budget around $350,000. April 10 sale by auction of Perintown and Wayne school buildings will fund part of the land purchase.

Crowe Improves After Heart Attack in Cincinnati Hospital

Robert L. Crowe manager of the City Loan and Savings Co. Batavia is reported improving at Holmes Hospital Cincinnati after a heart attack at his office last Thursday. Crowe is active in the Batavia Business Men's Association and Clermont Boy Scout activities.

Bell Telephone Firefighters Extinguish House Blaze

A Cincinnati Bell Telephone Company crew led by Floyd Kinner battled a fire threatening J. H. Sheriff’s home on Rumpke Road in Clermont County. Flames shot from the attic as poles were being installed, but a bucket brigade helped limit damage and the fire was controlled before the local fire department arrived. The team included Richard Zink Clarence Mink Richard Brown Wendell Cowdrey James Daley and Floyd Kiames.

Clermont County Grand Jury ends two day term with 13 indictments including non support and grand larceny. Cases name Charles Crawford Eugene McKibben Clarence Davidson William Moreaux and others. Some arrests and charges involve threatening and breaking and entering and assault.
