Jacob Baker Reed obituary recalls pioneer builder and public servant
Jacob Baker Reed 82, a Williamsburg area builder and longtime public servant, married Frances Ellen Davis, with four children and seven grandchildren. He served on the Williamsburg council and school board and was a 46-year member of the O C F. He attended the Presbyterian church until impaired hearing ended services. Memorial language honors his steadfast character and faith. Sarah Ann Mefford, born Hamilton Ohio November 22 1847, died at 67 years, daughter of William and Catherine Blackall, married Isaac Clinton Mefford, served in Civil War era unit. She joined the Methodist Episcopal church in childhood and died after pneumonia while visiting family in 1915. Funeral at home followed by burial in Hamilton.

Edgar D Marshall born May 24 1846 in Steubenville Ohio died March 4 1915 near Hamlet Clermont County Ohio after a long illness. Married Alida Van Duzer on September 12 1871 they had five children and six grandchildren. A machinist with Howe Sewing Machine Co later Singer agent he served on the Amelia school board for seventeen years and was an active church member. Funeral services held at Amelia M B church conducted by Revs Laird and Baker with burial rites.
