Clermont County Boy Named Naval Aviation Cadet
Clermont County youth Philip K. McConn son of John McConn Fayetteville has been appointed Naval Aviation Cadet and transferred to the Naval Air Training Center Pensacola Fla for intermediate flight training. After completing the course at the Annapolis of the Air he will earn the Wings of Gold as a Naval Aviator and be commissioned Ensign in the Naval Reserves or Second Lieutenant in the Marine Corps Reserves.

Batavia Grange Observes Sixteenth Anniversary
Sixty members gathered at U B church basement to mark the Grange sixteenth anniversary. A potluck supper was served and nine charter members attended, with four elected as officers when the Grange organized. A large class of candidates is to be initiated March 16.
