Man Killed by Truck Near Mt. Washington
Arthur Shannon of Tabasco was struck by a Moorehead Kentucky truck on the pike while walking home from work. He died from a crushed head and broken ribs. Eyewitness Evalyn Bottoms saw the accident as the trio blocked the road. The driver fled but license number was obtained and a Clermont county hearing is ordered. Dr Mott of Amelia attended, and Shannon’s body was moved to White funeral home.

School superintendent Louis L. Waggal of Locust Corner was seriously injured in a Wednesday morning crash on slippery pavement when a truck hit his auto near Cali fornia. He was taken to Bethesda Hospital with a fractured skull and severe head lacerations. the truck was driven by Max Bodkins of Charleston West Virginia. Waggal’s car was badly damaged.
