Rev Dr Wm B Brown officiated with attendants Chas Taylor and Miss Anna Mitchell. A large dinner followed at the bride’s home and guests showered the couple with rice as they left for a farm home.

Charley Robinson Civil War Veteran Passes At Batavia
Charles Robinson known as Charley, a Batavia resident and Civil War veteran, died at age 80. He served in the 22d Ohio volunteers and the 153d Ohio, was a mason and G A R member, married twice, and leaves a daughter in Milford and another at home. Funeral held at his residence and he was interred in Owensville survivor.

High water after a Tuesday night cloud burst flooded Batavia. Brick yards foundries and a trolley station were submerged as rivers tore through the Duckwall bottoms. The Glancy ice house and Krekeler Bros. stable were swept away and many machines, patterns, and lumber lost.

Ethel Grimes, a young confectioner of Cincinnati, attempted suicide at 664 West Fourth Street. He had drank heavily for a week and fired four shots, only one taking effect. The wound is in the forehead. he was taken to the hospital. He had recently received $250 from Moscow relatives and learned of his aunt's death. His landlady alerted others after the final act.
