A Clermont County committee on starting a community college will visit Lorain County on April 6. Lorain County Community College president Dr. Max J. Lerner invited them to observe operations and offer guidance.

Dr. Lancaster Named To Clermont County Health Board
The Clermont County Health Advisory Council named Dr. Kirby Lancaster to the Board of Health succeeding Dr. A. Gordon Schulze. His term runs through 1971. Richard Jamieson was elected council chairman with Dan England as former chairman. O. H. Sharp and Harley Clark were chosen for secretary and vice chairman respectively. Health Commissioner Albert W. Soldier dies in three car crash on U S 50 near Milford
Pvt. Charles F. Balent 22 of Columbus died in a three car crash on U S 50 four miles east of Milford while returning from Owensville. Pvt. Tony M. Kauffer 19 of Milton W V sustained an ankle injury. Curtis A. Noble 18 of Milford suffered a leg laceration. The crash involved a Station wagon driven by James H. Hundley and another car driven by Donald R. Bingamon. Several passengers sustained injuries and life squad units responded. A separate note reports Wilmer Lucky Foor found gold in Stonelick Creek and identified with the Cincinnati Mineral Club.
