Clermont College Group Plans Lorain Visit To Study Model

A Clermont County committee on starting a community college will visit Lorain County on April 6. Lorain County Community College president Dr. Max J. Lerner invited them to observe operations and offer guidance.

Dr. Lancaster Named To Clermont County Health Board

The Clermont County Health Advisory Council named Dr. Kirby Lancaster to the Board of Health succeeding Dr. A. Gordon Schulze. His term runs through 1971. Richard Jamieson was elected council chairman with Dan England as former chairman. O. H. Sharp and Harley Clark were chosen for secretary and vice chairman respectively. Health Commissioner Albert W. Van Sickle reported 1965 achievements across administrative, nursing and school health, contagious disease control, and environmental sanitation, including new staff, home nursing service, and sewers and air quality steps.

History Society Medicare Discussion Friday

The Clermont County Historical Society schedules two meetings at the CG&E Building Batavia with an 8 p.m. start. On March 11 a Social Security Administration and Hospital Care Corporation rep will discuss Medicare and Blue Cross coverage. The public is invited. refreshments will be provided by Mrs. Earhart Copher and Miss Pollack.

Woods Named Southwest Area Chairman of Ohio Cancer Group

Charles P. Woods of Mt. Carmel was named chairman of the Southwest area for 1966 by the ACS Ohio Division, joining his role as president of the Clermont County Unit. About 95 Clermont volunteers toured Christ Hospital facilities, viewed a 2 million volt X ray machine, and heard from Dr. Ester Marting and staff on oncology, isotope scanning, and chemotherapy.

Clermont County lawmakers announce a March 23 auction of a 2192 acre Ohio Highways property on West Main Street with a minimum bid based on two thirds of its 37500 appraisal. Soldier dies in three car crash on U S 50 near Milford

Pvt. Charles F. Balent 22 of Columbus died in a three car crash on U S 50 four miles east of Milford while returning from Owensville. Pvt. Tony M. Kauffer 19 of Milton W V sustained an ankle injury. Curtis A. Noble 18 of Milford suffered a leg laceration. The crash involved a Station wagon driven by James H. Hundley and another car driven by Donald R. Bingamon. Several passengers sustained injuries and life squad units responded. A separate note reports Wilmer Lucky Foor found gold in Stonelick Creek and identified with the Cincinnati Mineral Club.
