Gymnastics and folk dancing by 80 high school and junior high girls will be demonstrated by Miss Jerry Wilkerson, Batavia Physical Education Director, at the Batavia PTA meeting on Thursday March 9 at 8 00 p m at the high school on Bauer Avenue. The Citizen of the Year award will be presented by the Batavia Business Men's Association. An attendance prize of five dollars and ice cream treats for children will be provided to the room with the most parents present.

Batavia All Stars Face Williamsburg in Exchange Student Benefit
The Batavia Chapter of the American Field Service sponsors a benefit basketball game at Batavia High School on Saturday March 11 at 8 p.m. The Batavia All Stars, led by Coach Bob Clousson, face the Williamsburg All-Stars to raise funds for hosting a foreign student in 1967-68. Auctioneer Dies Norway is DAR Program Topic
A well known auctioneer who ran an area business since 1927 died recently. He once operated an auction barn at Batavia and held frequent sales in Middletown. Funeral services were held at Maham Funeral Home with burial in Williamsburg Cemetery. He left three sisters and one brother. Clough Valley Chapter DAR will meet March 13 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church Terrace Park for a travel program on Beautiful Norway presented by Mrs. Marion Gilbert who will discuss her world travels and Scandinavian experiences.

In Clermont, the Northeastern Lions Club held its first dinner meeting at Clermont Northeastern High School on Feb. 27 electing Walter G. Knauff president and naming officers and directors. The group discussed community eye testing for preschoolers and plans charter night in April, with next meeting set for March 13. Two fires occurred during the snowstorm, one in Williamsburg and one in Bethel, with injuries reported. An evacuation plan was arranged at New Richmond High School and a Willowville softball league is forming at Mt. Carmel VFW field.
