Former Batavian Mrs Sallie Moore Silcott widow of Geo E Silcott of Mansfield died at her Mansfield home on February 23 after a long sickness. She was known here in her younger days and the Donnie Johns property was her old home. Survived by husband and three sons. Burial at Mansfield.

Caroline Trinkle Steinle Passes at 91 in 1929
Caroline Trinkle Steinle born May 29 1837 in Wittenberg Germany left at fifteen for America with family. She joined the Lutheran Church early and endured long illness with patience. Survived by seven children four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. husband and five children preceded her to the Heavenly Home. She died February 3 1929 at 2 15 am aged 91 years 8 months 4 days with a memory of her faith and family.

Jones Bill Signed Expands Penalties for Prohibition Violations
President Coolidge signed the Jones bill raising penalties for Volstead Act violations to five years in prison and a 10 000 fine.
