Mishap at Funeral Prevents Tragedy for Pallbearer
During Captain William Johnson's burial at Old Bethel cemetery last Thursday the bank beside the grave collapsed as the heavy casket began to lower. Pallbearer Richard Atchley fell into the grave beneath the casket but was saved by prompt action of the other pallbearers, and the body was finally lowered safely.
