Plan for Land O' Grant Historical Tour Route in Clermont and Brown

A U S Grant Commemorative Committee plans an historic driving tour through Clermont and Brown Counties from New Richmond to Bethel. The route highlights thirteen Grant era sites with blue and white markers and includes landmarks such as the Rankin House in Ripley and Meldahl Dam. Jacobs Exhibits At Nature Center

The Cincinnati Nature Center hosts David Jacobs photography exhibit from March 3 to 20. Jacobs teaches English at the University of Cincinnati and presents black and white images showing objects in relation to their environments, highlighting harmony and disharmony between humans and nature. President's Commission Questionnaire Reported in Williamsburg

Fire Chief Wendell Cowdrey told Williamsburg Township Trustees on February 21 that a letter and questionnaire from Richard E. Bland of the President's Commission on Fire Prevention was received for all fire departments. The government will use the data to help prevent a repeat of the Lincoln Heights Rest Home fire. Maps for extending the Clermont County Water System along SR 32 were received from Donald L. Watkins showing a route from Half Acre Road toward the Reveal property including Alexander Lane and Maple Drive with contracts expected this spring. The trustees meet March 5 at 8 p.m. in the township hall.

Fire Damages Sprague Home On Greenbush Cobb Road

A faulty gas water heater caused a fire at the Ronnie Sprague residence on Greenbush Cobb Rd. in the utility room and kitchen. The heater ignited a wooden cabinet, spread to the kitchen, burned the attic trap door, and scorched three or four roof rafters. The blaze occurred at 3 a.m. Friday.
