City workers to quit at noon Saturdays May to September

Police found in the cellar of a building once owned by Dr. Isaac Hathaway the bodies of several children and many bones. Hathaway, an alleged abortionist, was once jailed in 1881 with Rev. Thomas Miller for criminal malpractice on Mary Butler, who died after an operation. Hathaway died in detention but was not rearrested. His wife accused him of brutal assaults. she later withdrew the charge. Twenty one skull fragments were unearthed. Hathaway remains in county prison on related assault charges, with a coroner detainer lodged.
