Two truck mishaps hit Aber Road near landfill
Two semi trailers carrying hazardous wastes went off Aber Road near the CECOS CER landfill in Jackson Township within 18 hours. One tractor trailer carrying 84 barrels of PCB contaminated dirt left the road at 9 a.m. June 17, no spill occurred, driver Steve Brewer said he was guiding toward the entrance when his wheel left the shoulder. A second truck, carrying solidified perchloroethylene from Pennsylvania, left the road at 3 p.m. June 16, suffering a stuck rear wheel but returned to the road in five minutes. no spill was reported.
