Remains of Rev J H Lockwood Laid to Final Rest
The Rev J H Lockwood was interred at Bethel cemetery after two services one at Richmond Street Christian church and a second at Bethel. Clergy from Newport Covington attended and more than 1000 people paid tribute. Pallbearers were sons Edward A G M W E C H W T and H J Lockwood. He was remembered as a man of good works.

Ohio Wool Growers plan exhibit at 1904 Exposition in New Orleans
At the Ohio Wool Growers meeting in Columbus a plan to exhibit Ohio wools at the 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition was approved. A committee led by W. W. Miller will solicit fleeces, with heavy 1904 clips urged from 1903 shearing, all shown grease wool. Proceeds from sales will go to donors. no committee member will profit.

Colored Masons from Batavia and nearby towns gathered Sunday at Main Street lodge rooms, formed in two, marched through the city to the courthouse where Rev Codell of Ohio delivered an eloquent Masonry sermon before a large colored audience. A free dinner at Jamieson's hall preceded the event. All lodges in the county were represented.

Earl G Marsh formerly of Owensville and elder son of Mahlon Marsh, a Batavian, has earned a B S from Columbian University and the C E degree after graduate study. He passed a civil service exam and is appointed assistant civil engineer in the Hydrographic Branch of the U S Geological Survey working on irrigation in southeastern New Mexico with headquarters at Roswell. The Williamsburg bonds vote approved a 12000 issue for electric lights and a town hall. In Columbus & Cincinnati Traction Company vs Hodges et al a jury awarded varying compensation and damages totaling relevant per acre values for land condemned and crops.

A Cure For Dropsy
Sedgwick Arkansas June 22 Mr W S Taylor of this place states his boy suffered dropsy with swollen feet and limbs. Two doctors advised death but after three Dodd’s Kidney Pills daily for eight days the swelling vanished and he recovered fully. The family credits the pills with saving the child’s life and health.
