Death of Joseph Cross in Miamiville

Prominent Citizen Dies in New Richmond at 68
Joseph Clasgens, a leading New Richmond businessman and longtime woolen mill operator, died at his home after a severe surgical operation. A native of Plainville, he settled in New Richmond in 1865 and helped build Clermont county’s mills. Funeral services were held at St Peters Roman Catholic church with a large crowd.

During a Manchester storm Mrs George Riffle received a severe electrical shock while using a telephone.
