The Clermont County Commissioners bought almost an entire Batavia city block on Spring St and Riverside Dr for 150000 dollars from Oliver P. Bartles and Robert Crowe to house water and sewer departments. The Crowe residence sits on the corner. the former Sun building is now Batavia Baptist Temple, leased for a year with county use planned thereafter and other offices may relocate. The site has ample parking and leaves the Riverside Main corner occupied by a service station.
