Seven Clermont Countians received diplomas at the Ohio State University commencement in the Ohio Stadium. Elizabeth Cargo and Jerry Shinkle earned bachelor degrees cum laude, along with graduates Claude Smith Paul Davis Laura Bridges Robert Hayden and Judith Taylor. Goshen High bids come in under estimate
Simmie G. Alley Jr. announced that bids for the 400 pupil Goshen high school totaled 707000 dollars, about 26000 dollars under the cost estimate. The project, partly funded by a state grant, will be handled by the State Department of Education and bid award is pending the State Board of Education meeting on July 13.

Rush Told To Proceed With Road Program
County Commissioners ordered Carl Rush to proceed with the road program and prepare plans and cost estimates to replace the Neville Penn School House Road bridge near the O W Jones property. They asked Joe Unger to improve sight distance at Ohio 133 and Todds Run Twin Bridge Road and transferred 15000 dollars from road contract work to the labor employed direct fund to keep road crews working through winter.

Madisonville Plans Sesqui Centennial Opening
Madisonville marks its 150th birthday with a five day sesquicentennial starting June 24. A 7 p.m. parade includes floats bands and officials from Cincinnati and neighboring communities viewing from the library review stand. Events run 5 p.m. grounds open with contests booths rides and a historical museum at Madisonville Public School. Indian Hill High School band plays Wednesday after the parade.
