Batavia parents meeting calendar uniforms discussed
Parents of Batavia band members are summoned to a meeting on June 25 at 7 30 p m in Batavia High School to discuss group organization calendar and new band uniforms due for July. The Fantasticks opens June 21 at 7 30 p m in New Richmond High School theater in the round with repeats June 22. Tickets are $1 at the door first come first served.

Local SBA loans aid Clermont County firms in May
In May two SBA loans totaling 70000 were approved for Clermont County firms through the Cincinnati branch. SBA loans can start buy or expand a business. First step is to talk to a local lending institution about an SBA guaranteed loan. Seminars and counselors help prepare a formal business plan for the loan. May Ohio SBA loans numbered 45, seven direct from SBA and the rest via lending institutions totaling almost 7.7 million.

State distributes local tax funds in Clermont County
Clermont County received 113804.41 dollars in the June Local Government Fund distribution from the state auditor’s office as part of 23.1 million dollars for 88 counties. The fund uses 3.5 percent of prior month state taxes and 15.4 percent of franchise taxes. May receipts included 233.3 million in sales tax and 263.2 million in income tax. SUMA and the Hamilton County Department of Human Services sponsor a picnic for adoptive families with food, June 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Rain date July 13. Call 221-SUMA for details. Alcohol deaths drop this year in Ohio road tolls
During the first full week of June Ohio reported 18 traffic deaths with 7 linked to alcohol, 11 of the victims had belts available but only one wore one. Year-to-date through June 8 1984 295 of 625 deaths were alcohol related. for 1985 247 of 611 deaths were alcohol related.
