The notice sets April 60 cents per hundredweight for whole milk and 17 cents per pound for butterfat and May June rates of 45 cents per hundredweight and 15 cents per pound. Payments cover April May and June 1946 on one application with August 31, 1946 deadline for sales and production proofs.
Hay making time is here as farmers face anxiety over timely cutting and safe curing. Labor is short and baling wire may be scarce, pushing some to use field choppers or older loose long hay methods. With few choppers available, farmers may start harvesting several days earlier to protect hay quality.

Extensive earthworks were staked and drainage ditches laid out on multiple area farms including Robert R Caldwell Owensville Grailville School Loveland Milford Novitiate Milford Eugene Poston Felicity Dr Robert Hermann New Richmond Ray Ferree Cozaddale and William Schneider Newtown. Contour plowing and strips were completed on several plots and a pond laid out for Robert Berne New Richmond.
