Immunization Day Deemed a Great Clermont County Success

Dr. R K Lancaster reports April 5 measles immunization day a success with about 10 000 children vaccinated against rubella. Total program cost 13081 99 dollars, 8202 48 collected at sites, deficit 4879 51 covered by the Clermont County Health Improvement Fund trustees.

Waunita Pfeiffer Dies. Courier Feature Photo Editor

Waunita Nita Pfeiffer 46, longtime Courier feature and photo editor, died Monday at Christ Hospital after two weeks as a patient. A Marietta native and Ohio State journalism graduate, she held editor roles at The Courier and earlier work in advertising and photography. Funeral services were held Wednesday at St. Thomas Episcopal. cremation and burial followed at Marietta.

Three School Districts Join Hamilton Vocational Group

Batavia Goshen and Clermont Northeastern School Districts join the Hamilton County Joint Vocational District to meet state mandates for a comprehensive vocational education plan. Superintendents Nau Goodwin Miller said districts released a joint statement after extensive study of issues. Hamilton County voters approved the levy on May 5.

J E Vince Wagner of the Louisville District Corps of Engineers led a planning session naming July 18 for groundbreaking of the East Fork Reservoir and State Park. Sponsors include Little Miami Development Corp with Dignitaries invited to attend a motorcade to the dam site. Federal aid could reach up to 50 million per community under a 2 year regional plan.
