Carl Humphrey and Horace McElfresh pleaded guilty to illegal possession of untaxed liquor in Judge Charles White's Common Pleas Court. They were caught crossing the river. Judge White fined 200 dollars and sentenced 30 days, suspended except 10 days. Costs due in 30 days and three years probation.
Co. R. Spangler, pastor, leads Sunday school at 9 30 with Mr. John Huntington as superintendent. Morning worship begins at 10 30 on a topic titled My Church. Bible school reports a strong start. Children are urged to arrive promptly at 9 a m.
A church social at Owensville Methodist Church is set for next Saturday night June 21 from 7 to 9 pm. Attendees can enjoy home made ice cream and cake while men serve at tables wearing white caps. Come one come all.
