Tax Hike Sought By Clermont County Commissioners
Clermont County Commissioners seek a five year road and bridge tax hike at one mill per dollar of property value. The measure would raise about 89000 dollars if approved and will be voted on by residents next fall after election board submission. In a separate action the Veterans Housing Unit at Amelia will be rented to World War II veteran Joseph L. Ramsey.

Bad Intersection Is Scene Of Crash
A crash occurred early Monday at the intersection of Routes 132 and 222 involving a car driven by Alvtred Sirback of Cincinnati and a pickup driven by William Ties of Batavia. Sirback claimed he stopped on Route 132, pulled out after not seeing oncoming traffic, and collided in the obscured view caused by a high bank on Route 132.

Two Women Injured in Route 50 Highway Collision
Wet pavement on Route 50 near the Linden Hills Inn caused two injuries and three cars damaged when Helen Craig of Williamsburg spun into a parked Roy Heller auto from Cincinnati. Durbin's car avoided the wreck as he veered into a ditch. Injured Thom asine Craig and Stella Sprague were taken to Our Lady of Mercy Hospital Marie mot by Monroe Funeral Home ambulance. 6 Year Old Boy Injured By Auto
James Vernon Carson a 6 year old boy was injured when he stepped in front of a car driven by Arnold Snider 40. The accident occurred on State Route 132 toward New Richmond at 745 pm Monday morning. Carson was treated for cuts and bruises at Dr W J Sperling Amelia and no charges were filed against Snider. Deputy Sheriff Marvin Bissants investigated the incident.
