Mt Orab Leads Clermont County Baseball Standings

Mt Orab strengthened its hold atop the Clermont County Baseball League with a 5 1 record after beating Chile Hi Port in Chile. Owensville crushed Goshen 18 to 1 as bats left Goshen's field shaky. Francis Garage beat Locust Ridge 12 to 5 under new manager S Y Anstaett with 15 hits. Batavia Tigers captured their second straight win 9 to 5 over Moscow. Cincinnati Merchants toppled Perry A C 7 to 1 at Fayetteville. Next Sunday features Chile Hi Ports at Williamsville against Francis Garage and Mt Crab at Moscow along with other slated games. John A Kramer of Batavia earned MD from Ohio State University with honors and will intern at Grant Hospital July 1.

Filing for the August 9 primary closed at 6 30 p m June 10 for Republicans and Democrats. The list names candidates and committeemen for commissioner auditor representative common pleas judge and township committees with party affiliations and districts. Tax Statements To Be Mailed In July

County Treasurer John P. Friend announced that tax statements for the last half of 1937 would not be mailed until the last week in July. Collections will run August 1 to September 12, with no payments on real estate taxes accepted before August 1 except those processed by the Clermont Delinquent Tax Committee, which may be paid at any time.
