Pegg sister of C W Pegg widow of Captain W B Fisher mother of W G and Charles R Fisher owners of the Wilmington Journal. Buried May 25 at Sugar Grove cemetery. Her dying wish urged no long obituary and praised by the M E church community.

Owosso is a town of about 10,000 population and a large manufacturing center surrounded by a vast agricultural district. James McMath, formerly of this place, spoke at the Chicago Kent College of Law graduation. His address on the Privileges and Immunities of U S Citizens and of the Several States appears verbatim in the Chicago Law Journal, praised for its English purity and strong professional points. McMath, an attorney for a major Chicago manufacturer, is a leading member of the Chicago bar whose opinions are widely valued.
Democrats of the second-fourth senatorial district meet in Mason Warren county on July 8 to select their nominating convention.
Williamsburg plans an election on June 20 to approve a bond issue of 900 dollars for public lighting. A town hall project costing 3,000 dollars is also under consideration with bonds to be voted at the same time.

The Cincinnati Post proverb contest saw no Batavia prizes, while in Wilmington Mrs. Sarah Walker won a $400 piano and Miss Grand-Girard won a two week New York trip. The body of Henry Davis Collings was found on a sand bar near Manchester after drowning in the Ohio River. funeral services were held Friday.
Friends of Dr. Dolen formerly of Hamlet now Mooresville Indiana report his election as clerk of Mooresville. This is his second honor from citizens who trust his integrity and ability. He works in insurance in Indiana and is prospered. He is son of S T Dolev of Hamlet and brother of Byron Dolev a contractor between Hamlet and New Richmond.
Conductors on the New Richmond trolley route parade through town calling out streets like Him and Plum. Old residents are dazed as most locals know only Front Street by the river view, where the post office, bank, hotel, woolen mills, and Bleher's drug store sit. The conductors appear to guide passengers to get lost.
Georgetown council passes sidewalk ordinance forcing owners to pay for pavements or have the town build them and charge owners. Milford remains best paved, with bond funded, swift uniform work, praised for good results. Batavia may adopt similar method, though current pavements are in good order.
